Day 1: Marrakech – Ait ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
5 Days – Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Sahara, start from Marrakech at 8:30 AM in a private 4×4 vehicle, the journey to Ouarzazate through the High Atlas mountains includes a stop at Tizi N’Tichka port, the highest point in Morocco at 2,260m. Enjoy picturesque landscapes and snap photos of Berber villages along the way. Explore the Telouat Kasbah, savor typical local cuisine, and traverse the Ounila valley to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featured in numerous films. Conclude the day in Ouarzazate, known as “The gate of the desert,” with dinner and accommodation at a hotel.
Day 2 : Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we’ll head to the Draa Valley, stopping to photograph the beautiful kasbahs and Berber villages along the way. You’ll have leisure time for lunch in Nkob or Alnif. After about two hours, we’ll reach the stunning Merzouga dunes, known as the “Desert of powdery sand dunes.” We’ll switch from vehicles to animal-drawn transport to explore the desert further. Upon arrival at our camp, we’ll settle into camel hair tents like those used by nomads. Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay in a Berber tent under a starry sky.
Day 3 : Merzouga Desert – Nomads Families – Tisardmin Oasis – Khamlia Village – Erg Chebbi
Experience a complete Desert day with a breathtaking sunrise atop a dune in Merzouga. After a camel ride back to camp for breakfast, explore the majestic Erg Chebbi desert, including the towering Big Dune of Morocco. Follow the old “Paris-Dakar” road to Algeria , passing Tissardmin oasis and nomadic settlements. Admire the panoramic view of the Erg Chebbi hole . before visiting Khamlia Village for tea and a Gnawa music concert. Relax in your accommodation or explore the town and dunes as you watch the sunset. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in the hotel, surrounded by the beauty of the desert landscape.
Day 4 : Merzouga Desert – Erfoud Fossil’s – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
After breakfast, we depart the desert for Rissani’s market days (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday), then visit fossilized marble manufacturers in Erfoud. We proceed to Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves, arriving at the stunning Todra Gorges in the High Atlas. Here, the river has carved out a beautiful canyon attracting climbers. A lunch break allows time to enjoy the scenery and a short walk. In the afternoon, we head to the Dades valley, passing Boumalne Dades and the “monkey legs” before dinner and overnight at Dades Gorges.
Day 5 : Dades Gorges – Roses Valley – Palm Groves of Skoura – High Atlas – Marrakech
After breakfast, we enjoy a stunning view of the Dades Valley from a lookout point in the mountains, seeing the many kasbahs and their unique characteristics. We then travel along a road lined with kasbahs of interest, stopping to appreciate the “One Thousand Kasbahs Road,” the Roses Valley, and the Skoura palm grove. In Ouarzazate, we visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, once home to the Glaoui or Marrakech pasha, along with the option to explore cinema studios and the cinema museum. After lunch, we return to Marrakech via the Tizi N’Tichka mountain pass, with picturesque stops, arriving around 6 pm.
