Day 1: Marrakech – Ait ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Starting our 4 Days Trip from Marrakech to Merzouga , from Marrakech at 8:30 AM in a private 4×4 vehicle, the journey to Ouarzazate through the High Atlas mountains includes a stop at Tizi N’Tichka port, the highest point in Morocco at 2,260m. Enjoy picturesque landscapes and snap photos of Berber villages along the way. Explore the Telouat Kasbah, savor typical local cuisine, and traverse the Ounila valley to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featured in numerous films. Conclude the day in Ouarzazate, known as “The gate of the desert,” with dinner and accommodation at a hotel.
Day 2 : Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we’ll head to the Draa Valley, stopping to photograph the beautiful kasbahs and Berber villages along the way. You’ll have leisure time for lunch in Nkob or Alnif. After about two hours, we’ll reach the stunning Merzouga dunes, known as the “Desert of powdery sand dunes.” We’ll switch from vehicles to animal-drawn transport to explore the desert further. Upon arrival at our camp, we’ll settle into camel hair tents like those used by nomads. Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay in a Berber tent under a starry sky.
Day 3 : Merzouga Desert – Erfoud Fossil’s – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Early rising in the desert is a must for witnessing breathtaking sunrises atop dunes near camp. After enjoying this natural spectacle, camels transport us back for a heartwarming breakfast in Merzouga. The journey continues with visits to Rissani’s market, Erfoud’s fossilized marble factories, and Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves. The highlight is the Todra Gorges, where the river has carved dramatic cliffs popular with climbers. Lunch and a leisurely walk offer a chance to savor the stunning landscape before moving on to the Dades valley for dinner and rest.
Day 4 : Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Palm Groves of Skoura – High Atlas – Marrakech
After breakfast, we can enjoy a beautiful view of the Dades valley from a lookout in the mountains, seeing many kasbahs. We then travel through the “One Thousand Kasbahs Road,” stopping at the Roses Valley and Skoura palm grove en route to Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt. Interested visitors can also see the cinema studios and museum. After lunch, we head back to Marrakech via the Tizi N’Tichka mountain pass, with colorful views along the way, arriving around 6 pm.
