Day 1: Fes – Azrou – Arfoud – Merzouga
Our 3 Days Fes to Marrakech Desert tour start at 7:30 a.m. to commence our journey across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first destination is Ifrane, renowned as the cleanest city in Morocco. As we continue, we will traverse the picturesque town of Azrou, followed by Midelt and the magnificent Ziz gorges. As we advance, the scenery gradually shifts to a more arid landscape. Upon our arrival in Merzouga, the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes will appear on the horizon. In the desert, we will travel by camel to reach a well-equipped camp where we will spend the night. To fully appreciate the desert’s beauty, we will climb the towering dunes to witness a stunning sunset. Our evening will be spent in traditional nomadic tents.
Day 2: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
Start your day with a stunning Sahara sunrise before enjoying breakfast at the camp. Choose between a camel trek or a comfortable 4×4 ride back to Merzouga. The journey continues to Boumalne Dades, passing through Rissani, Erfoud, and the impressive Todgha Gorges. If it’s a market day, explore Rissani’s traditional market for a taste of southern Moroccan culture. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the Todra River and through the gorge, then end the day with a scenic drive through Dades Valley, featuring the unique ‘monkey fingers’ rock formations. Spend the night in a charming hotel in Dades Valley.
Day 3 – Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Conclude your three-day desert expedition with a delightful breakfast at your lodging. Enjoy a scenic drive to Ait Ben Haddou, passing through the Valley of Roses and Ouarzazate. In Ouarzazate, visit the Atlas Studio or take photos of the film sets.
Next, explore the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, known for its appearances in Game of Thrones and Gladiator. After lunch, head to Marrakech, traveling through the stunning High Atlas Mountains and ascending the Tizi n’Tichka pass at 2260 meters. Arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon.
