Day 1: Fes – Azrou – Arfoud – Merzouga
Our 3-day journey from Fez to Merzouga start at 7:30 a.m. to commence our journey across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first destination is Ifrane, renowned as the cleanest city in Morocco. As we continue, we will traverse the picturesque town of Azrou, followed by Midelt and the magnificent Ziz gorges. As we advance, the scenery gradually shifts to a more arid landscape. Upon our arrival in Merzouga, the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes will appear on the horizon. In the desert, we will travel by camel to reach a well-equipped camp where we will spend the night. To fully appreciate the desert’s beauty, we will climb the towering dunes to witness a stunning sunset. Our evening will be spent in traditional nomadic tents.
Day 2 : Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Desert
Experience the enchanting beauty of the Sahara at Erg Chebbi as the sun sets the dunes aglow. Discover the nomadic lifestyle through dune rides and tea ceremonies with desert communities. Enjoy Gnawa music in Khamlia, explore Rissani’s market, and ride camels to watch the sunset from high dunes. Immerse yourself in desert camp activities, including storytelling, drumming, and stargazing, ending the day with Moroccan tea and tagine for a truly magical experience. Dinner and night in the hotel..
Day 3 : Merzouga – Errachidia – Ifrane – Fez
Our last day begins heading north through the Tafilalet palm grove, the world’s largest, with thousands of palm trees. We pass through the Ziz valley fed by the river from the high Atlas mountains, offering a stunning view of Aoufous. After a stop in Midelt for lunch, we continue through the Cedar Woods, possibly spotting monkeys. Then, we reach Ifrane, known as the “Moroccan Switzerland” for its cleanliness, greenery, and ski resort. Finally, we arrive in Fez around 6 pm, ending our journey.
