Day 1: Fes – Azrou – Arfoud – Merzouga
Our 2 Days desert Tour from Fes to Merzouga start at 7:30 a.m. to commence our journey across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first destination is Ifrane, renowned as the cleanest city in Morocco. As we continue, we will traverse the picturesque town of Azrou, followed by Midelt and the magnificent Ziz gorges. As we advance, the scenery gradually shifts to a more arid landscape. Upon our arrival in Merzouga, the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes will appear on the horizon. In the desert, we will travel by camel to reach a well-equipped camp where we will spend the night. To fully appreciate the desert’s beauty, we will climb the towering dunes to witness a stunning sunset. Our evening will be spent in traditional nomadic tents.
Day 2: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Fes
The second day unfolds with a mesmerizing sunrise over the dunes. We embark on a camel trek back to the hotel, where breakfast and a refreshing shower await. Once rejuvenated, we set out for the return journey to Fes, traversing the picturesque Ziz valley and the Middle Atlas Mountains. En route, we venture through the forests of Azrou, where an optional stop allows us to handfeed the resident monkeys. Our path takes us back through Ifrane, retracing our initial route. We conclude the day as we arrive back in Fes.
