Day 1: Fes – Azrou – Arfoud – Merzouga
We will pick you up at your riad or your hotel around 8 am. We leave for Midelt through the Mountains and the cedar forests of the middle Atlas. We pass by Ifrane, a charming ski resort and Azrou, an important handicraft center specialized in the work of cedarwood. We arrive in Midelt for lunch. In the afternoon we will drive to Erfoud and into the desert. You will have a camel trek into the beautiful Erg Chebbi Dunes, where you will spend the evening in a bivouac (desert camp). There you will enjoy a Berber dinner and sleep in traditional Nomad camel hair tent.
Day 2 : Merzouga Desert Tour
Today we explore Merzouga desert by 4×4. We will visit the Gnawa village and its local people –
Day 3 – Merzouga Desert To Dades Gorges
Today, on the 4th day tour from Fes to Marrakech in the morning we prepare for a camel ride back to the village. We enjoy desert sunrise and after breakfast, in hotel, we depart to Rissani and Erfoud which are known by fossils. We drive through palm tree groves of Ziz Valley, we continue towards Tinghir and the Todra Gorges to explore its valley, famous for rock climbers. We head to Boumalne Dades where we will enjoy dinner and overnight in the hotel in Dades Gorges.
Day 4 – Dades Valley – Kasbah Amridil – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate
After breakfast in the hotel we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazat. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand Kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. We’ll stop at Kalaat Mgouna, “the rose city”, to purchase rosewater, which will make your linen smell good a long time after your trip is over. Continue to Ouarzazate via the Amridil Kasbah, one of the last Berber chieftains during the 18th century, now the Kasbah is a house of many Glaoui people. At night you will stop in Ouarzazat.
Day 5 – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech
We started our journey after breakfast to Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village with a UNESCO World Heritage Site Kasbah. Many famous movies were filmed here like Gladiator and The Mummy. Then we’ll head to Marrakech, passing through Tizi Ntichka port, the highest point in Morocco at 2,260m. Enjoy stunning landscapes and stop at Berber villages for pictures. Marrakech and check into your riad in the Medina for the night.
Day 6 : Marrakesh Guided Tour
Embark on a cultural journey in Marrakesh, known for its vibrant heritage. Explore Jamma el Fna square for lively entertainment and Koutoubia mosque for stunning architecture. Dive into souks for local crafts, visit the royal palace, museums, and modern Gueliz district with Menara Gardens. Experience Morocco’s beauty and traditions on this enriching tour blending history, art, and nature.
